Sébastien Camboulive likes to play with ambiguities. Nothing is more boring for him than a photographic work that gives itself immediately. His images always give us a paradoxical feeling wether we are facing his work as Spiral or Snow Rain Limit or face his series, those from the Plateau or the Round dance.
He continues his exploration of the territories of representation. But it is today around the portrait that he focuses his research. Through a deconstruction of photographic procedures, Sébastien Camboulive forces the viewer to question his own relation to reality.
