Since 2006, I have worked mainly in photography and video, examining the relationship between the body and the architectural environment that surrounds it. I have explored questions about the body and its relationship to sacred space, about utopian and urban projects, and about the study of “exotic” cultures.
One of the most important starting points for my work is architecture and, more specifically, urban spaces that give rise to exceptional situations. For my research, I often travel to architectural sites that exhibit different formal characteristics, such as narrow geometry and the use of pure and rudimentary materials, but also to see structures whose presence questions the social and functional fabric of their surroundings.
