Sam Stourdzé is the director of the Musée de l’Elysée and the editor-in-chief of the magazine ELSE.
Stourdzé specializes in images. His research focuses on the contexts of their production, distribution and reception. For several years he has studied the mechanisms at work in the circulation of images, with a particular interest in the relationships between photography, art and cinema.
He has organized numerous exibitions and published several books, including Le Cliché de Corot à Man Ray, Chaplin et les images, and retrospectives of Dorothea Lange and Tina Modottoi. In 2009, he curated the exhibition Fellini, La Grande Parade at the Jeu de Paume in Paris.
Applicants must send a minimum of 7 images, and a maximum of 15 (1024 pixels, 72 dpi), along with a short text of presentation of their approach to photography also indicating age, nationality, and place of residence.
