From September 22 to October 6, French-based photo-club of Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines), nearby Paris, presents its exhibition Métamorphoses. Works from its different members are gathered, under the direction of their tutor and photographer Ljubisa Danilovic. They all had to deal with the eponymous theme of the exhibition, as well as members of Zilina’s photo-club, in Slovakia.
The photographers wanted their pictures to enter into conversations. The photo-club clarifies, “Assuming that an image cannot lie because it is a mimetic of the real, they have observed that by associating them, the initial meaning is transformed and thus one can make them say approximately that one wants. They may then prove to be emotive and poetic, but also become formidable weapons of propaganda. ”
