For its second occasion of summer exhibition, Le Château La Dominique extends the reflection initiated in 2018 around the place of red in art. The theme chosen by Camille Poupon (director of communication) and Guillaume de Sardes (curator of the exhibition) is red as the color of engagement. Political commitment, of course, but in the broadest sense of all that touches the polis, that is to say the life of the city.
The exhibition has different mediums: painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, video, installation.
The artists presented are: Danielle Arbid, Mike Bouchet, Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Orianne Castel, Judy Chicago, Robert Combas, mounir fatmi, Jérémy Gobé, Thierry Jadot, Daido Moriyama, Jean-Pierre Raynaud, Andres Serrano, Jan Vercruysse, Heimo Zobernig.
An installation in situ, “Freedom guiding the wool”, will be done by Jérémy Gobé.
The exhibition is realized in partnership with the CAPC (Bordeaux), the FRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine MÉCA (Bordeaux), the Collection of the Cartier Foundation for contemporary art (Paris), the gallery Odile Ouizeman (Paris), the gallery ANALIX FOREVER (Geneva) and Les Films Pelléas.
It benefits from the patronage of Société Générale Direction Régionale Grand Sud-Ouest.
