Roots & Bonds by Regina Anzenberger

Preview

It all started with one particular tree in the winter forest that caught my eye during one of my walks with my dog Shakeera. I kept returning there over an entire year and photographed the tree through every season. What especially fascinated me were the vines which elegantly wound themselves down to the ground from a branch, creating an image of endless bonds. With the forest as a source of inspiration and energy for all creativity, the roots and bonds became my theme.

Born in Vienna; painting since age 13, 12 years painting with oil and red sand from the Australian desert; Regina Anzenberger is artist, curator, founder and director of the Anzenberger Agency and Gallery. Personal artistic projects include exhibitions and publications such as Philodendron (exhibition catalogue with painting, drawing, and photography, 2006), Der Hund Shakeera (self-published, 2010), All about Golf (AnzenbergerGallery, 2010), and My Golf Diary (AnzenbergerGallery, 2011). Lives and works in Vienna.
