The American Richard Sexton is a quite renowned photographer in New Orleans. Through these images of Louisiana, which are currently the subject of an exhibition at the A Gallery in the same city, he gives us a portrait of his native land, with an emphasis on architectures, landscapes, and trees. They inform us as well of the past of these cities of the south as of their erosion. A country whose old-fashioned beauty is thus left, as often in the United States, abandoned.
