He’s a portraitist. He’s a fashion photographer. He’s a music video director and sometime photojournalist. Rankin is also one of the 10 photographers chosen to take a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee. Born in 1966 in Glasgow, Rankin came to study photography in London after being expelled from school. He is one of the founders of the magazine Dazed & Confused. Following Paris, a new retrospective of his work is being held at the A-Galerie in Brussels.
