Monday in New York, the AFP photographer Massoud Hossaini was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in the “Breaking News” category. The prize was awarded for his photograph of a young girl crying after a suicide attack in Kabul in December 2011 killed most of her family. The Pulitzer is one of the most prestigious honors in journalism in America.
