The eight nominees of the second edition of the Prix Elysée were revealed at the Nuit des images on Saturday, June 25 in the Elysée gardens. Launched in 2014 with the support of Parmigiani Fleurier, the Prix Elysée offers financial help and curatorial guidance to artists with a passion for photography and books, so they can take a decisive step in their career.
The Musée de l’Elysée and Parmigiani Fleurier are pleased to announce the eight nominees of the Prix Elysée: Elina Brotherus, Matthias Bruggmann, David Jiménez, Sofie Knijff, Jim Naughten, Emeka Okereke, Robert Zhao Renhui and Isabelle Blanc & Olivier Hilaire. 440 promising photographers from 69 nationalities from all over the world participated in the second edition of the Prix Elysée. Over 8’800 images were reviewed by the Musée de l’Elysée’s curators. “This second edition of the Prix Elysée is marked by great diversity. Very talented artists from so many different countries answered our call for applications with strong and often socially engaged projects. We are greatful to all the candidates for their work and to those who kindly supported their application” underlines the director Tatyana Franck.
