The work is from Rinko Kawauchi’s fabulous new series “Ametsuchi“. The title “Ametsuchi“, is comprised of two Japanese characters meaning “heaven and earth,” With this new series she purposely concentrates on the elemental and universal.
Alexandra Catiere
Alexandra Catiere received last year the BMW – Paris Photo Award. In her masterfully printed and subtle nuanced b/w photographs she concentrates on ephemeral scenes and objects reminiscent of events in the past.
Rudolf Bonvie
The set of 13 photographs of Bonvie’s “Dialog” shows a male and a female hand approaching each other on a bed. Michelangelo’s portrayal of the divine spark, that creates Adam, is being ignited with erotic irony in Bonvie’s work.
