This is the most unusual collection of poems we have received.
It is called Les Territoires du Bord. It is signed: Ephraïm Jouy.
It is illustrated with photos by Antoine d’Agata.

To survey the Territories at the Edge is to explore the margins, the borders, the thresholds of the spaces of metamorphosis, the transition zones where identities are reinvented, where movements take shape or dissolve, oscillating between light and shadow, between desire and fear over the points of tension and precarious balances…
This collection of poetry seeks to explore in its complexity and depth the links that are formed and undone at the heart of a romantic relationship, where bodies and souls intertwined, meet and reveal themselves and then, sometimes, get lost and drift apart… The use of the poetic form in the “liberated” verses was essential from the outset because it gives access to a naked truth, without artifice, almost obvious.
Poetic writing allows this singularity of a body at heart in constant interaction between the text and the reader, in the most authentic and sincere sensation and emotion possible.
The idea of ”coupling” these texts with photos by Antoine d’Agata immediately made sense, as the work of this photographer perfectly illustrates the subject, giving it a real “body”. It is an original way of offering the reader a living text in three dimensions, so to speak, that of words, that of sensations and that of the body represented by the photos, according to a symbiosis mixing the signifier with the signified, going to approach the intimate territories of the relationship and caress the body of things…words to evil.
About the author:
A philosopher by training, Ephraïm Jouy has enriched his career with various professional experiences, notably as a journalist specializing in Art and Heritage, collaborator of a reporting agency Terroir et Nature, museum director, art expert working on the writing of the catalogues raisonnés of three artists, while managing a family farm.
He is currently developing an art gallery in Pacy-sur-Eure in association with an art gallery in Rouen under the name “Outsiders Galerie”.
