The festival again invites The Anonymous Project to take over Deauville with family pictures sensitive or funny. Presented in surprising ways in the city, these pictures evoke an era, and loaned themselves to a different interpretation and make one smile as much as one will reflect on photography and its usage.
Initiated in 2017 by Leo Shulman the Anonymous Project is one of the most important private collection of amateur colour pictures of the XXth century.
Composed of Eight hundred thousand Kodachrome slides this collection is an incredible collective memory, moments of life lost in time. These anonymous pictures constitute an intimate diary of that era as fascinating and surprising for being imperfect. Often funny, surprising, touching, these pictures tell the story of our life.
