In Macquenoise, a Belgian village near the French border, Pierre Liebaert has chronicled the story of a mother and her two farmer sons. He presents the narrative of a civilization on the wane in Europe today, the world of a marginalized family and of economic structures replaced by a modern, sanitized one.

Pierre Liebaert was born in 1990 in Mons (BE) and graduated from Art High School “Le 75” in 2011, specializing in photography. He lives and works in Brussels.
