The London Photograph Fair, the only British fair dedicated to historic photography (19th and 20th century) will hold its “Special Edition” Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 May at King’s College London, a stone’s throw from Somerset House, where Photo London will be taking place. Fifteen exhibitors, mainly from Europe, will present photographic works, from daguerreotypes to fashion photographs from 1960-1980.
This fair is not to be missed if you are passionate about historic and modern photography, whether you are a collector, museum curator, or an amateur of “vintage” prints. It is the ideal occasion to snap up a photograph for one’s pleasure, buy a timeless gift, or discover a treasure… Among those exhibiting, Daniella Dangoor will present a collection of historic prints of samouraï and Le Plac’Art Photo will show photographs by Japanese photographers Daido Moriyama, Nobuyoshi Araki, Masahisa Fukase, Tamiko Nishimura, Kenshichi Heshiki and Gasho Yamamura.
The Great Hall in King’s College London, where the fair will be held, is easily accessible from Somerset House, through an archway, or from the River Terrace. Closest Tube stops are: Temple, Embankement, Charing Cross or Covent Garden.
