The fifth edition of the Photo Levallois festival opened on October 5. Launched in 2008, the festival is committed to all forms of contemporary photography, featuring work from world-famous artists and amateur photographers.
Of the five exhibitions this year, the largest is a retrospective in the Salons d’Honneur de l’Hôtel de Ville paying tribute to Jan Groover, who died this year.
Next door, Aurélien Mole presents an new series entitled Avant garde, in which he offers an original reflection of the aging of objects and images.
The Galerie de l’Escale is hosting an exhibition of the work of the winners of the Prix photographique Ville de Levallois, another highlight of the festival: Sophie Jung, Johan Rosenmunthe, Carly Steinbrunn and Yannik Willing. It provides an insight into the work of young photographers across the world.
The Médiathèque Gustave Eiffel is the site of an installation by Charles Negre and, finally, the Photo-Club de Levallois is presenting its annual group exhibition in the peristyle of the Hôtel de Ville.
