photo l.a. Opening night – Douglas Kirkland receives award and everybody parties
The Los Angeles based photo l.a. honored Douglas Kirkland on opening night but there were really two people there to pick up the award, Douglas and his wife and business partner of 47 years Francoise. Anyone who knows Doug knows Francoise as well. She is the bright and gracious force that accompanies Doug on all his shoots preparing the ground for him. Thursday night she was there as always chatting, kissing and hugging and very much the other force in the room. Even as there is only one Douglas Kirkland there is only one Francoise, congratulations on your honor!
And afterwards there was music and food and drinking. Tomorrow morning is soon enough to get serious about looking at the pictures.
