Photo 17: An Auction Dedicated to the AIDS Monument in Los Angeles

In Los Angeles this Thursday, October 05 will take place the sale Photo 17, from 19 to 22 hours. This photographic charity event is hosted by MILK studios. The profit from the sales will go to the FAM: Foundation for the AIDS Monument and will finance a building that celebrates the memory of people affected by AIDS / HIV. The monument will be built at West Hollywood Park. Its construction is already made possible thanks to the money collected by many donors and philanthropists.

At the sale on Thursday, October 05, nearly 100 photographs will go on sale. Among the photographers sold, curious and buyers will be able to hope to obtain works of Tom Bianchi, Jesse Diamond, Brad Elterman, Dennis Hopper, Lynn Johnsonn Julian Lennon, Simon Lueck, Yu Tsai or Jeff Wall. A live performance by American singer Rufus Wainwright is also expected.
