Impossible to choose among all the elephant pictures of the most French of Greek photographers to show you. All the works on display in Nasbinals are superb. All these well-made outdoor tarpaulins are there to make our mouths water. Because the originals decorate the upper room of the tourist office. These are exceptional large format prints of quality and rendering that totally paralyze and hypnotize all visitors, from the youngest schoolchildren in dialogue with the author to the elders frozen by emotion.
What hard, methodical, perfectionist and totally unconscious work! But, what results with no comment when everything is photographically admirable in quality and the real hard work is there.
Kyriakos Kaziras was the second guest of honor at the festival with his band of elephants. We are still in the presence of a true creative who expresses himself with a camera with all the rigor of the great Hellenic artists of the past. The public is unanimous in its respect for the works.
If the exhibition comes near you, do not hesitate for a second. The book seems to be of the same vein (unfortunately I did not have time to go through it in the frenzy of the four days) but I wish photography enthusiasts are able to see it and acquire it.
