This year 2021 puts animal photographers in the spotlight, after Vincent Munier in Manosque, it is Alain Ernoult who finds himself one of Phot’Aubrac’s guests of honor with a whole bunch of his colleagues. Which allows me to take my hat off to the true specialists in this category of works. Both trackers, trappers and archers, of which they have all the qualities, with infinite patience these photon hunters invite themselves and drown in the life of other species other than that of homo sapiens. The supremacy of the great masters of the discipline, as with all forms of portraits, stems from the infinitely held anticipation of the “shoot”.
One of the greatest creators of aerial photographs Alain Ernoult represents a perfect mastery of photographic techniques without this ever appearing, unless your keen eye pays attention to the quality of his images. This creator of images, as he defines himself, is gifted far beyond the world of aeronautics. Alain is a guest of honor at Phot’Aubrac 2021 for his work on the animal world. If he is a real photographer in the sense of the material management of light; he is above all a creator who offers us another vision of our universes and our environments. Even when he has to take risks he will do it, like all lords / artisans of creation, he will do everything necessary to give us another angle of vision, another perception of the atmosphere. Alain is the author who dreams of improving our reasoning, our sensitivities and our convictions.
May his dreams become a life for the greatest number. A small regret, the lack of intimacy and desirable concentration with the works given the scenographic choices to show them to the widest possible audience.
