Tomorrow Tuesday, March 28, photographes Philip Trager and Ken Schles will be at the Rizzoli bookstore (New York) for a lecture and signatures. – Organized by the publishing house Steidl, photographers will present bothe their books: New York in the 1970s for Philip Trager and Invisible City for Ken Schles.
Philip Trager is an American photographer born in 1935. His work has sought to freeze the architecture of modern cities (Paris, New York) or the arabesques of dancers and dancers. In 2006, he gave a large part of his negatives, photographs and contact sheets to the Library of Congress. His works are present in several major American museums (MET, MoMA).
Ken Schles is a photographer born in 1960 in Brooklyn, New York. His book Invisible City offers a remarkable dive into New York nightlife of the last century. It has been acclaimed by many critics and media for its originality. His works are also in the collections of many great museums.
The two artists will be present from 18 to 20 hours. The event is open to all.
