PDNB Gallery an exhibition by Earlie Hudnall, Jr. in celebration of his recent Lifetime Achievement award given by the Art League, Houston. A small installation of his photographs from the Third and Fourth Wards of Houston will be featured. Earlie has been documenting the African American community since the 1970’s when he was studying art at Texas Southern University. His mentors were the muralist John Biggers and Professor Thomas Freeman.

Besides Houston, he has photographed communities in Africa, England, Haiti, and his hometown of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Many institutions have collected his photographs including the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Menil Collection, the Amon Carter Museum, the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, New York, and the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.
