Many of us are beginning to realize that either a), we need to get in shape quickly before we soon find ourselves on a beach somewhere far away, or b), that the Olympics are just around the corner!
No matter what camp you fall in, you might just have enough time to get a leg up. Eurostar tickets? Gym membership? In any case, Greg Lotus gets his ladies’ legs right up there in this great shot for Vogue Russia’s June issue.
Otherwise, you can always get yourself a trainer, which is what photographer Greg Kadel thought might be appropriate for models Caroline Brasch Nielsen and Madison Headrick, in these strangely fantastic yet curiously unmotivating shots for Numero’s 134 issue.
Sports can be chic, as Nicolas Valois proves to model Auguste Abeliunaite in this beautifully elegant photo for French ELLE’s June 22nd issue. Though if you’re looking for some new ways to work out, just get inspired by Txema Yeste’s ever intriguing images, especially here in the June/July issue of Harper’s Bazaar Spain with model Hanaa Ben Abdesslem demonstrating a new role as either a weight or synchronized-something.
Gisele has it swinging perfectly, as always, as she works it for Inez and Vinoodh in this image in Vogue Paris’ June/July issue. And in Canadian ELLE’s recent July issue, photographic duo Leda & St. Jacques go pro with Tara Gill in this determined moment.
It’s clearly hard work, so rest is important, as demonstrated by model Natalia Uliasz in this image by Dimitris Skoulos published in ELLE Greece’s June issue. Supporting your favorite team is also fun, especially when you can wear odd hats and watch the scene, so says Nikolay Biryukov in these shots for Interview Russia’s latest issue.
But be careful not to get over-excited during all of the fun, running down stairs in heels is always risky, just ask model Caterina Ravaglia in this image by Mari Sarai published in Please’s Summer issue.
Some safer ways of celebrating might include moments of sharing, like this image by Cass Bird of model Shalom Harlow in Oyster’s issue 99. Though we all know what that can sometimes lead to, as pointed out by Cass Bird once again of model Tasha Tilberg, still for Oyster’s issue 99.
Keeping healthy is the best bet in these cases, with a great example being given by photographer Thiemo Sander in his shot of Doutzen Kroes produced by ELLE’s International Coproduction team.
Or give it a good think, as model Carmen Kass seems to be doing in these images by Yelena Yemchuk for 25 Magazine’s latest issue, as well as Lindsey Wixson when photographed by Jan Welters for Antidote’s S/S issue.
Still need more time to think it through? It seems that Enrique Badulescu gave model Martha Hunt a bit more time for just that, in these shots published in ELLE UK’s June issue.
But until then, you might want to simply open the windows and enjoy the summer breeze, as Natasha Poly does for photographer Mario Sorrenti in this image from Vogue Paris’ June/July issue.
