For Valentine’s Day, Sotheby’s London branch is organizing a special sale called Passion & Desire. The sale includes magnificent works dealing with love, nudes, flesh, passion, eroticism. Paintings, photographs, sculptures form a selection of big names: Klimt, Picasso, Koons, Klein, Picabia or Polke.
Among the photographers and their works, collectors will be able to afford several Robert Mapplethorpe and Andy Wharol, the famous shot The Doll of Hans Bellmer (1936), an enigmatic Chris Levine (She’s Light (Laser 3), 2013) or a nude sensual, almost pornographic Thomas Ruff (Nudes Noc 09, 2000).
The sale will take place tomorrow, Thursday, February 15, at 14H30 (UK time).
