The thirty books shortlisted for the Paris Photo/Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards were officially announced at the New York Art Book Fair, where Aperture presented the third issue of The PhotoBook Review. The shortlist was selected by Julien Frydman, Chris Boot, Phillip Block, Lesley A. Martin and James Wellford. The prize and quarterly publication of the journal confirm the Aperture Foundation’s commitment to photography publishing. The diversity of the contributors, from Joan Fontcuberta and Ken Schles to Leandro Villaro, reflects that approach. The Paris Photo/Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards is one more step in its commitment to supporting projects that only have in common their high quality.
