Introduction
Founded in 1985, Robert Mann Gallery is one of the preeminent photography galleries in the world. Based on our expertise in classical photography, we represent an outstanding collection of twentieth century masters such as Diane Arbus, Ansel Adams, Joe Deal, Walker Evans, Man Ray, Aaron Siskind and Henry Wessel. In 1999, when the gallery relocated to its new space in Chelsea, it expanded its roster of artists with international, mid-career and younger photographic artists, including Gail Albert Halaban, Holly Andres, Julie Blackmon, Jeff Brouws, Wijnanda Deroo, Laurent Millet, Jem Southam and Silvio Wolf. The gallery’s exhibition program showcases its diverse inventory with exhibitions of vintage masterworks as well as installations of contemporary photography that contextualize and promote newer movements in the field.
