In 2010, Hermès created the Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais, a CSI 5* level show-jumping competition, and thus restored a place for the horse, its first client, in the heart of Paris. From this desire, driven by many years of equestrian experience, was born a high-level sporting event awaited each year by the best international riders, as do all riding enthusiasts.
Each year since the creation of this competition, Hermès has invited one photographer to draw attention to these three days of events and the celebration of the horse.
In 2015, Patrick Messina covered the event. His photographs of the event’s athletes (riders and horses) and the excitement of the track captures the elegance of these champions and the intensity of an excellent competition, which is perfectly placed under the magnificent glass roof of the Grand Palais. The next edition of Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais will take place from March 18th to 20th, 2016.
