Paris: EPECTASE at the Atelier Yann Arthus-Bertrand

L’Atelier Yann Arthus-Bertrand is holding an exhibition of two series by the iconoclastic dada-punk art duo EPECTASE, Le Philosophe and Le Propriétaire through April 30th, 2015.

Corentin Fohlen and Jérôme von Zilw founded EPECTASE in 2012. They treat suburbia as their playground, where nature is domesticated and the landscape dotted with strip malls. In this static, banal landscape, where mankind seems at once absent and ubiquitous, EPECTASE lets its absurd imagination run wild. The recurring figure is a body, tense, suspended, always on the verge of falling.
