Spazio Reale, in Monte Carasso, Switzerland, will exhibit until June three photographers from Iran. Today, The Eye of Photography presents the work of Nazanin Tabatabaee.
The modern world is a world of loneliness. It has turned into a world in which men ostracized every day. Technology has eradicated man’s communication difficulties but emotional bonds have been weakened.
More and more people all over the world are trying to fill up their loneliness by taking in pets, especially people who live alone are trying to use pets to make up for their emotional losses and needs.
I’ve tried to take pictures of youths who live alone and have a deep emotional relationship with their pets.
For most of them living without pets is impossible.
Taking dogs for a walk-in public is not allowed in Iran. Dog owners have to spend most of their time at home rather than in public.
