Photographers have been essential in creating the culture and progression of skateboarding. They are there to capture the insanity that happens in front of their lenses. With the understanding the skateboarder is putting their body and life on the line with every attempt of the trick. Knowing they only get one chance to capture the trick in that perfect moment it is made. Mostly starting from skateboarding and transitioning in to photography giving them a unique view of the world only a skateboarder can have. Forming their own unique photographing style out of their experiences and surroundings. For the entire history of skateboarding there has been a photographer in the trenches capturing and sharing their view of the world unfolding in front of them. Out Of The Trenches highlights the photographers who were there to live, witness, capture and share skateboarding’s progression and soul throughout the years.
