The Musée des beaux-arts Le Locle (MBAL) presents the collective exhibition animal instinct / instinct animal and invites you to the opening on October 13 at 6.30pm, followed by an aperitif and an animalesque DJ-set by La Collective.
The project is in line with MBAL’s museum policy, which aims to question societal issues by bringing together masterpieces from the permanent collection – and, for this project, from MUZOO, La Chaud de Fond – with contemporary creations by guest artists. Why do turtles rush to the sea as soon as they leave their nests, and spiders spontaneously spin webs? Mysterious, imperceptible and fascinating, animal instinct, has always aroused the curiosity of artists, both in its representational aspects and in the relationships between human beings and animals.
