When Laurence Vecten launched her first calendar in 2012, she chose 4 Japanese photographs, one for each season. Last year, twelve different photographs illustrated each month. For the 2016 calendar, her inspiration continues to grow, it is now in weekly mode. And for the first time since its creation, the calendar has abandoned Japan and ogle American photography.
More than fifty photographers answered the call. Alex Prager’s movie-like productions, Saul Leiter’s reflective shop windows and even Charlie Engman’s digital experimentations exist side-by-side in this arty, ultra chic, weekly agenda.
This year the profits from the sales will go to the Mississippi chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters youth organisation. “Mississippi because it’s one of the poorest states in the USA and I support the work of this association, which helps families, in particular children, with a system of support and sponsorship”, Laurence Vecten explains.
A beautiful last minute idea to put under the tree for lovers of photography.
