With the opening of the group show “Sex Cells, Uncensored“, the work of Eric Simone “Nue York: Self-Portraits of a Bare Urban Citizen” is being represented by the Emmanuel Fremin Gallery in Chelsea, New York City.
Alongside the talented Reka Nyari, Cynthia K. Cortes, as well as five other photographers, several pieces from the collection will be exhibited from June 28th through July 28th 2012.
“The most universal subject of art through the ages, the human nude has been a vehicle for commercialization, a symbol of freedom, and a topic of heated debate. In “Sex Cells,” eight contemporary photographers explore how we direct sex appeal, both consciously and unconsciously, as a means of empowerment and manipulation. From the provocative to the grotesque, the featured artists combine familiar props and subjects in an original manner as they tackle themes of seduction, bondage, religion and bestiality. »
