Yesterday at Sotheby’s, Man Ray came out on top with the Photomontage with Nude and Studio Light going for 410,500 USD (estimate 100,000-150,000 USD) and he has 2 photographs on the top ten list.
Comparatively the portfolio of 11 photographs by Richard Avedon which went for 314.500 USD seems like a good deal, even though it went for more than double the low estimate.
