This month, ZUM, the biannual revue published by the Instituto Moreira Salles (IMS), is releasing its 7th issue. The 180 pages are devoted to the project “Offside Brazil,” featuring the work of photographers from the prestigious Magnum agency and emerging Brazilian talent. “Offside Brazil,” sponsored by the IMS, the Save the Dream Foundation and ESPN, had photographers Alex Majoli, David Alan Harvey, Jonas Bendiksen and Susan Meiselas (all from Magnum), the collectives Mídia Ninja and Garapa, and the Brazilians Bárbara Wagner, Pio Figueiroa, André Vieira and Breno Rotatori, travel throughout Brazil to document what the country was like during the FIFA World Cup last June. Outside the stadiums, they photographed demonstrations, nightlife, religious rituals and women’s relationship to their bodies. More information is available at the official site.
