Art Rotterdam opened today at the Van Nellefabriek. For three days, this former factory will welcome nearly 90 Dutch and international galleries, an increase from last year. In its fifteen years of existence, Art Rotterdam has established itself as one of the largest contemporary international art fairs in the Netherlands. Many photo galleries will be on hand, and we decided to give you an overview of the program.
The series Interiors by Marleen Sleeuwits combines sculpture and photography. The artist examines space and our perception of emptiness. “These photoworks show my studio that I have changed over and over again in the last two years,” says the photographer. “Recently I moved into an empty office building which is 16 stories high to take this project a step further.” Sleeuwits is represented by the gallery LhGWR.
