New in Lyon, the Musée de Fourvière presents Voyage chez les croyants du monde (Journey in the world of the believers), an exhibition by photographer Ferrante Ferranti.
The exhibition of around thirty photographs by Ferrante Ferranti is an invitation for a colorful journey around the world. It is designed as a journey among believers of various religions who nourish the spirituality of the planet’s inhabitants.
Ferrante Ferranti, traveling photographer, offers photographs where attitudes and gestures are highlighted: touch, contemplation, prostration, in familiar or surprising settings. This prayerful humanity invites us to see, in these images which respond to each other, the invisible.
For nearly 40 years, Ferrante has explored spiritual places around the world, driven by an ambitious desire: “to see the invisible”. To do this, he travels, like a pilgrim, to the different spiritual places of the world. This visit offers a soothing stopover that creates bridges and allows you to discover little-known cults.
The Musée de Fourvière, a museum of religious art, is one of the places in Lyon where the general public can encounter the art and treasures of the religious heritage of Fourvière. For more than 40 years, the Museum has regularly exhibited great contemporary artists whose artistic sensitivity resonates with spirituality. After Rouault, Goudji, Arcabas, Manessier, Gleize, Marcoville, François-Xavier de Boissoudy, photographer Ferrante Ferranti offers the people of Lyon and the visitors of Fourvière A message of peace and openness with his photo exhibition.
