This exhibition highlights the work of Philippe Halsman and current members of the American Society of Media Photographers at McNichols Building to the Buell Theater,in collaboration with Mizel Museum and the ASMP. Philippe Halsman was the first president of the ASMP, an organization dedicated to serving the professional photographic community for over 70 years. Halsman photographed some of the most famous figures in early 20th American History including artist Salvador Dali, Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein. This timeless collection is on loan from the Mizel Museum and Collector Allen Goldstone.Halsman work is at McNichols Civic Center Building.
The ASMP show, ‘Its Personal’, is juried by: Jim Robischon, owner of Robischon Gallery in Denver; Loretta Young-Gautier, fine art photographer and former Associate Director of the Camera Obscura Gallery with Hal Gould; and Ben Sherill, project manager with NINE dot ARTS in Denver. ‘Its Personal’ includes the works of: Jordan Spenser, Paul Rubner, John Nangle, Kim Mobley, Larry Lazlo, Ron Johnson, Diane Huntress, William Horton, Joseph Gamble, Connie Dines, Karen Desjardin, Rich Clarkson, John Blake, Allen Birnbach, and Patricia Barry Levy.
