At MIA -Milan Image Art Fair 2012, Artistocratic shows some of the most important Sicily portraits by Ferdinando Scianna and the new project “A moment before or a moment after” by Nicola Cicognani. Two exhibitions for two different generations of photographers vis-à-vis: on one side Ferdinando Scianna, one of the most famous and internationally appreciated photographer (Magnum Photos agency), represents Sicily in black and white: the Sicily of religious rites (Nadar award winner) and the Sicily represented in the first Dolce&Gabbana fashion campaigns signed by Scianna. On the other Nicola Cicognani, one of the most promising Italian contemporary photographers with his “visual poetry” on metropolis and suburbs.
