The photographer Michel Tréhet, fascinated by the 50s and 60s, which are undoubtedly those of fashion and movie stars becoming icons, has made Barbie his muse.
Through his artist’s eyes, he puts her on stage as a great lady of fashion, embodying the refinement and femininity of the time. Dressed in clothes created by the greatest names in French couture, Christian Dior, Chanel, Givenchy or Louboutin, she is sometimes superstar, heroine, and plays the roles of Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Fan Bingbing, Tippi Hedren or Karl Lagerfeld.
For the sixtieth birthday of Barbie, Michel Tréhet presents sixty photographs each telling a story. Under the graphic eye of the photographer, each detail is carefully studied so that Barbie is transformed into a real elegant woman, ready for the game, the time of a black and white cliche.
