Michel Philipot’s press review presents images that summarize the news of the week.

They can be revealing like the image of President Barack Obama and Nicolas Sarkozy face to face during the G8 summit, or more singular like the German minister devouring a cucumber.

The most explosive cover of the week was that of Libération who portrayed a majestic cucumber with the title “presumed innocent”, and, on the same page, the photo of Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Quite daring.
