The Prix Mentor was created by FreeLens in partnership with the Scam (France’s copyright collective) and the CFPJ Médias training school. It aims to serve as a kind of incubator, providing the winner with the best possible conditions under which to develop a project that features photography as its source medium. In this, its inaugural year, the prize was awarded to Leonora Baumann on Thursday December 10th. The jury also gave a special mention to Adrien Selbert, Pierre Faure and Vasantha Yogananthan. The prize-winner will now benefit from financial backing and personalised support from a group of experts.
