Yesterday, Bernard Plossu celebrated his 80th birthday.
And among the gifts he received was a book made with his images, a book of Bernard’s photographs that he took in the apartment of the painter Giorgio Morandi in Bologna and entitled “Aller chez Morandi”. He writes:
Morandi, his home in Bologna! The courtyard, the staircase, the door… Then you enter: the room, the furniture, the window. To be in the home, where his everyday life was spent, quite simply… And also have a walk in his neighborhood, the one where he went for walks, to do his shopping – in his footsteps… What a joy to have been able to discover and photograph the world of this painter that I so much love!
