The exhibition of Markus Klinko “2000’s” is still on view until the end of July at Mouche Gallery in Beverly Hills, CA.
“For me, this collection goes beyond celebrity photography and more so defines a greater cultural connection. The early 2000’s was a very influential time of fashion, music, and entertainment that we are seeing resurface today. Being able to capture it photographically gives us a window into our past and is how it has helped form our future.” – Markus Klinko
The collection depicts a variety of pop culture milestones that have truly defined the decade of the early 2000’s. Highlighted works include: Beyonce’s Dangerously in Love album cover; a series of Mary J. Blige album covers documenting her meteoric rise to superstardom; and images from Klinko’s wildly successful David Bowie Unseen international exhibition.
As David Bowie’s and Iman’s photographer for over 15 years, Klinko’s client list reads as a who’s who of Hollywood royalty. Other notable pop culture icons that are featured in the exhibit include: Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian,Naomi Campbell, Kelis, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and more.
The exhibition at Mouche Gallery is presented in collaboration with FUJIFILM North America Corporation.
