O amor não é cego – Love is not blind
2011-2012, series of 45 pictures
An atlas from the discovery of what surrounds us, once more. This series, still in progress, began in 2011, it coincides with my move to Berlin, due to a transforming encounter in my life. From then I didn’t stop trying to transcribe the resentful emotions arising from this meeting.
This is a Love’s eulogy, a principle which should inspire the destiny of men. Here the photographs are observations of relations between bodies and gestures, the attitude, the antics of gestures, movements expressive of love. They are also observations when the loving gaze settles in the world, transporting us to places already known – déja-vu (old ideas, memories or even our own childhood). This observation of everyday life where the feeling pervades everything of extraordinary.
