Christie’s France will sell famous Man Ray’s masterwork Black and White, a portrait of Kiki taken in Montparnasse in 1926 and published in the Parisian edition of Vogue that same year. Christie’s estimated the photograph between 1 million and 1.5 million. So far, this photograph was held by Thomas Koerfer, director, screenwriter and Swiss producer.
The photography of Man Ray and his collection of 73 lots, focusing mainly on shapes and human bodies, will be sold on November 9, on the occasion of Paris Photo.
