Maggie’s work has been featured in Martha’s Vineyard Magazine, Brooklyn Magazine, and Nuvo among others. Her work has also been shown internationally in Boston, New York, Birmingham, England and Harare, Zimbabwe. Swamp Yankee is a project documenting the Monster Shark Tournament, held originally on Martha’s Vineyard and now relocated to Newport, Rhode Island. I have a complex history with the event after growing up with it as a child on Martha’s Vineyard. However, by bringing these apex predators up from the deep, the fishermen are showing us something out of our own world, and that moment should be treasured, if carefully critiqued as I hope to show through my imagery.
