The Moved 420
The 420 factory was once the largest corporation in Southwestern China. During its prime years there were over 20.000 employees working in the establishment. With their family members who lived with them, there were almost 100.000 people residing in the factory dormitories. The entire commuunity has been completely demolished and most of the residents have moved somewhere else. The factory ground has already been turned into residential apartments, while the areas once occupied by dormitories are being sold to real estate developers piece by piece. The workers who once lived here used to be the major workforce in the society, enjoying relatively decent compensation and social status.
