Lucien Clergue just passed away. He was a fantastic storyteller, a beautiful human being and a great photographer. He was the creator of the Arles festival, the friend of Picasso and Cocteau, the poet of the nudes. In fact it is an era of Photography which is disappearing with him. Personally I owe him
some beautiful moments, projections in the Theatre Antique “antic theater », Lunches and dinners in Arles, Paris and New York……
We extend our deepest sympathy to Yolande his wife and Anne and Olivia, his daughters.

On the 7th of July for his 80th birthday we consecrated a full day of l’Oeil de la photographie to him.
We are publishing it again, as a last tribute.
