The sea, the earth, the sky: three essential components of Luca Lupi’s photographs. The immensity of the sky, the soft and diffuse light and this horizon, almost infinite, give off a feeling of serenity and calm. The presence of the man is palpable but derisory. Surrounded by the splendor of the landscape, Luca Lupi’s work encourages contemplation and a certain spirituality. The air, the water, the earth, three entities of the Four Elements that invite to meditation.
Beyond the poetic dimension of each image, a philosophical or even anthropological questioning emerges. Luca Lupi’s work questions the relationship between man and his natural environment. At a time when the ecological issue is vital, Luca Lupi offers us a testimony on the need to preserve our land. The photographs taken all over the world invite us to travel. An artistic and visual journey in which we are confronted and deliberately lost. Time seems suspended, giving the works a universal and timeless dimension.
At the same time, Luca Lupi’s work invites introspection. Thus, like a balancing artist, the artist encourages us to explore our inner paths and to open us to new horizons with Finis Terrae.
